Referral Program Terms and Conditions

MOPC Network Referral Program
Terms and Conditions

Effective date: August 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern participation in the MOPC Network Referral Program. By creating a referral account, sharing a referral link, accepting a referral invitation or otherwise participating in the Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and the MOPC Network Privacy Policy.

1. Program sponsor

The MOPC Network Referral Program is offered and administered by MOPC Network.

Referral Factory provides the referral-program technology used to register participants, generate unique referral links, track referrals and support reward administration. Zoho CRM is used by MOPC Network to manage customer and referral information.

Participation in the Program creates a relationship only between the participant and MOPC Network. Referral Factory is a service provider and is not the sponsor of the Program.

2. Program eligibility

The Program is open to eligible current MOPC Network customers, including:

  • Residential customers
  • Business customers

A participating customer must have an active MOPC Network account in good standing when the referral is submitted and when the referral is qualified.

An individual participant must have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence.

A person participating on behalf of a business must be authorized to represent that business and to accept these Terms and Conditions.

MOPC Network may request information reasonably required to verify eligibility.

3. Creating a referral account

To participate, the referring customer must create a referral account through the MOPC Network Referral Program powered by Referral Factory.

Participants must:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Register using an email address they control
  • Maintain only one referral account per individual or authorized business representative
  • Keep their referral access information secure
  • Notify MOPC Network if their account information changes

Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional attribution or rewards is prohibited.

4. Personal referral link

After registration, each referring customer will receive a personal referral link.

The link may be shared with friends, family members, neighbours, business contacts or other people who may have a genuine interest in a new MOPC Network Internet service.

The referring customer must use the personal link provided through the Program. Referrals made outside the tracked referral journey may not qualify.

Participants may not:

  • Send unsolicited bulk messages
  • Use misleading or deceptive claims
  • Impersonate MOPC Network
  • Present themselves as an employee or authorized sales representative of MOPC Network
  • Purchase advertisements using MOPC Network’s name without written authorization
  • Publish referral links on unlawful, deceptive or inappropriate websites
  • Use automated systems, bots or fabricated identities to generate referrals

5. Eligible new Internet services

All new MOPC Network residential and business Internet services may qualify, subject to:

  • Service availability
  • The new customer meeting MOPC Network’s service requirements
  • Successful completion of the service-registration process
  • Verification through MOPC Network’s systems
  • Compliance with these Terms and Conditions

Internet services introduced after the Program launch may also qualify unless MOPC Network states otherwise.

Telephone, television, medical-alert or other non-Internet services do not qualify on their own unless MOPC Network expressly adds them to the Program.

6. Eligible referred customer

The person or business referred must:

  • Use the referring customer’s personal referral link
  • Provide accurate information
  • Complete a new qualifying MOPC Network Internet sign-up
  • Meet applicable service and credit requirements
  • Be located at a serviceable address
  • Not be participating through a fraudulent, duplicate or self-referral arrangement

A person who already has an active MOPC Network Internet service at the relevant service address may not qualify as a new Internet customer.

An existing MOPC customer who does not currently have Internet service may qualify when adding a new eligible Internet service, subject to MOPC Network’s verification.

7. Successful referral

A referral becomes a successful or qualified referral only when:

  1. The referring customer has created a valid referral account.
  2. The new customer has entered through the referring customer’s personal link.
  3. The new customer has completed a qualifying new Internet sign-up.
  4. MOPC Network has recorded and verified the completed sign-up in its systems.
  5. Both participants have complied with these Terms and Conditions.
  6. The referral has not been cancelled, reversed, duplicated or identified as ineligible.

For clarity, a request for information, service-availability check, unfinished order or abandoned registration is not a successful referral.

8. Referral rewards

For each successful referral:

  • The referring customer will receive one $50 Amazon.ca gift card.
  • The new qualifying Internet customer will receive one $50 Amazon.ca gift card.

Rewards are issued only after the referral has been qualified and verified by MOPC Network.

There is no limit to the number of eligible referrals a participant may make.

There is no Program limit to the number of rewards a participant may receive.

Each successful new customer may generate only:

  • One $50 reward for one eligible referring customer
  • One $50 reward for the new customer

Rewards:

  • Have no cash alternative from MOPC Network
  • May not be transferred or exchanged through MOPC Network
  • Are subject to the issuer’s terms and conditions
  • Will be delivered using the email address associated with the participant’s referral or customer account

MOPC Network is not responsible for a reward sent to an incorrect email address supplied by a participant.

Reward-delivery timeframe: Rewards will normally be issued within 30 business days after qualification.

9. Business participants

When a residential customer participates, the reward will be issued to the eligible individual registered in the referral account.

For a business customer, the reward will be issued to the authorized individual whose email address is registered in the referral account, unless MOPC Network approves another arrangement.

Business participants are responsible for determining whether accepting a reward complies with their employer’s or organization’s internal policies.

MOPC Network may request confirmation that a business participant is authorized to act for the account.

10. Multiple and duplicate referrals

Participants may refer multiple people or businesses without a Program limit.

A prospective customer may be attributed to only one referring customer.

When the same person or business is referred by more than one participant, attribution will normally be given to the first valid referral recorded through the Referral Program, subject to MOPC Network’s system records and verification.

A later use of another participant’s link will not create an additional reward for the same new Internet sign-up.

Duplicate records, duplicate email addresses or duplicate service addresses do not create multiple reward entitlements.

MOPC Network’s referral-platform and CRM records will be used to determine attribution.

11. Self-referrals and prohibited conduct

A participant may not refer:

  • Themselves
  • A fabricated identity
  • A duplicate account they control
  • A business they own or control solely for the purpose of obtaining both rewards, unless MOPC Network expressly confirms that the referral is eligible
  • An existing Internet customer presented as a new customer
  • A person who has not knowingly chosen to participate

MOPC Network may investigate and reject activity involving:

  • Matching or suspicious email addresses
  • Duplicate identities
  • Duplicate customer records
  • Repeated use of the same contact details
  • False service addresses
  • Manipulated tracking
  • Automated sign-ups
  • Collusion
  • Reward resale schemes
  • Any attempt to circumvent the intended operation of the Program

12. Verification and disqualification

MOPC Network reserves the right to verify all referrals and rewards.

MOPC Network may withhold, cancel or recover a reward when:

  • A referral does not meet the eligibility requirements
  • A service order is cancelled or reversed
  • Information provided is false, incomplete or misleading
  • The referral results from fraud, abuse or manipulation
  • The participant breaches these Terms and Conditions
  • A technical or administrative error creates an incorrect reward
  • The referral cannot be matched or verified in MOPC Network’s systems

MOPC Network’s decision regarding Program eligibility, attribution and reward qualification is final, subject to applicable law.

13. Reward delivery

Rewards may be delivered electronically by MOPC Network, Referral Factory or an approved reward-fulfilment provider.

Participants are responsible for:

  • Providing a valid email address
  • Checking spam or junk folders
  • Contacting MOPC Network if a qualified reward has not arrived
  • Redeeming the gift card according to the issuer’s instructions

MOPC Network may require identity or account verification before reissuing a missing reward.

A reward that has already been successfully delivered or redeemed will not be replaced except where required by law.

14. Amazon.ca gift cards

Amazon.ca Gift Cards are subject to Amazon.ca’s applicable Gift Card Terms and Conditions and usage restrictions.

Gift cards cannot generally be exchanged or redeemed for cash except where required by law.

Amazon is not responsible for administering the MOPC Network Referral Program or determining participant eligibility.

The Amazon name and associated trademarks belong to Amazon or its affiliates.

The final Amazon-related disclaimer and any use of Amazon branding should be confirmed before publication.

15. Privacy and personal information

MOPC Network and its service providers will collect, use and disclose personal information as reasonably required to:

  • Register participants
  • Generate and manage referral links
  • Attribute referrals
  • Contact prospective customers who register through a referral link
  • Manage Internet-service sign-ups
  • Verify successful referrals
  • Prevent fraud and duplicate rewards
  • Deliver rewards
  • Provide Program communications
  • Meet legal and operational requirements

Program information may be processed through Referral Factory and synchronized with Zoho CRM.

Participants should review the MOPC Network Privacy Policy before joining.

Creating a referral account or accepting an invitation does not automatically constitute consent to receive unrelated marketing. Any optional marketing consent should be requested separately and must not be preselected.

16. Program communications

Participants may receive operational communications relating to:

  • Account registration
  • Email verification or login
  • Personal referral links
  • Referral activity
  • Qualification status
  • Reward status
  • Program changes
  • Security or fraud concerns

Operational communications are required for administration of the Program and are separate from optional promotional communications.

17. Taxes and reporting

Participants are responsible for determining whether rewards have any tax, accounting, employment or reporting implications applicable to them or their business.

MOPC Network does not provide tax advice.

18. Program changes or termination

MOPC Network may modify, suspend or terminate the Program, including its:

  • Eligibility requirements
  • Qualifying services
  • Reward type
  • Reward value
  • Qualification process
  • Technology provider
  • Program availability

Where reasonably possible, material changes will be communicated through the Program website or participant communications.

A change will not remove an entitlement to a reward that was fully qualified before the effective date of the change, except where fraud, error or ineligibility is identified.

19. Technology availability

MOPC Network does not guarantee that the Program website, Referral Factory, Zoho integration, referral links or reward systems will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Where a technical issue affects referral attribution, MOPC Network may review available system records and supporting information to determine whether a referral qualifies.

Participants should retain relevant confirmation emails until their rewards have been received.

20. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MOPC Network is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in the Program, inability to access the referral platform, delayed reward delivery or use of a third-party gift card.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

21. Governing law

The Program and these Terms and Conditions are governed by the applicable laws of Nova Scotia and Canada.

Any dispute relating to the Program will be addressed in the courts or tribunals having jurisdiction in Nova Scotia, unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
