MOPC Home Phone requires your internet connection and adapter to be powered. During a power outage, service will be interrupted unless you have a battery backup (UPS) for your modem and adapter. We recommend asking us about battery backup options when you sign up.
Yes. Full Enhanced 911 (E911) access is included with MOPC Home Phone. Emergency services will receive your registered address when you call 911. It’s important to keep your address up to date in your account.
The phone service itself works the same way on both fibre and wireless connections. Call quality may vary slightly depending on your internet speed and signal strength, but both deliver clear, reliable voice calls under normal conditions.
MOPC Home Phone is designed to work over your existing MOPC internet connection (fibre or wireless). If you’re not yet an MOPC internet customer, contact us — we’ll help you find the right bundle to get both services together.
