The Municipality of Pictou County (MOPC) has announced a strategic partnership with VistaCare Communications to accelerate the development of a rural fiber network in Pictou County. This collaboration will fast-track the construction of high-speed internet infrastructure, improving connectivity for residents and businesses while supporting long-term economic growth across the region.
Accelerating High-Speed Internet Access Across Rural Communities
The Municipality of Pictou County (MOPC) and VistaCare Communications are pleased to announce a strategic partnership to complete the construction of MOPC’s rural fiber optic network. Following a rigorous competitive bid process, VistaCare emerged as the preferred bidder, and a contract has been successfully negotiated.
VistaCare, a leading provider of fiber optic network solutions, brings substantial capacity to accelerate the fiber build-out across Pictou County. As a Nova Scotia–based company, VistaCare offers strong local knowledge and rapid response times for maintenance, ensuring reliable service for residents and businesses.
