Troubleshooting Service

There are a few steps you can try before calling support. Reboot your modem and router by unplugging them for at least 30 seconds before plugging them back in. This simple step can often resolve connectivity issues caused by temporary glitches. Additionally, check the Wi-Fi signal strength on your device and try moving closer to the router to see if the connection improves. Finally, inspect cables and connections for any signs of damage or loose connections. By following these steps, you can troubleshoot common internet and Wi-Fi problems and potentially resolve them without the need for technical support.

If you would like Wi-Fi through your home, you will need a wireless router. 

Purchasing New Service or Changing Providers

Fibre: After becoming a fibre customer, our installation team will schedule an appointment to connect a cable from the outside poles to your home, much like your power hookup. Your service provider will also deliver the necessary equipment for inside your home, ready to be plugged in and used. The installation process is swift, simple, and comes at no extra cost to you.

 Wireless: After becoming a wireless customer, our installation team will schedule an appointment to install a receiver on the gable end of your home and run a cable from the outside to inside your home.  The MOPC technician will install the necessary equipment inside your home and demonstrate everything works properly before leaving. The installation process is swift, simple, and comes at no extra cost to you.

To switch service providers for MOPC FibreFirst, simply log into your customer account and select a new plan from the desired service provider.  The new provider will send you the equipment required for their service, which is ready to be plugged in and used.  Rest assured, the transition process is seamless and hassle-free.
